Ritza Hendricks
Program & Events Co-Chair
Ritza Yana Hendricks is the Communications Manager at the Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health System. In this role she is responsible for driving communications strategies and plans for the Office of Economic Development. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins in the Spring of 2021, Ritza was the founder and chief content producer of R.Y.Ink!, a boutique marketing communications firm based in Washington, DC. R.Y.Ink! has been recognized for creating and executing unique campaigns that effectively communicate the message, build the image, and motivate desired results in specific markets.
Ritza is focused on driving content strategy and developing experiences to increase visibility for brands, products and services. As a seasoned event producer, she directed a talented team of creatives in presenting a 2020 Black History Month program in partnership with WeWork, Adjust My Crown, For What! The dynamic panel and fireside chat celebrates the outstanding work the CROWN Act Campaign is doing to Create a Respectful and Open World for natural hair. A native of Panamá, Ritza holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Long Island University in New York. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from Morgan State University in Baltimore. Ritza has been featured in corporate campaigns aimed at motivating employees, as well as local newspapers offering advice on event planning and promotions.
Passionate about investing in her community, Ritza supports a number of youth arts and education organizations, serving on advisory and leadership boards, and volunteering on planning and fundraising committees. With family and friends throughout the United States and the Caribbean, she’s a frequent traveler and currently residing in Washington, DC.
